Who this notice covers
BioShield operates this website for customers, prospective clients and authorized staff. It covers bioshield.co.ke, online enquiries, customer bookings, accounts and the staff portal.
Information we handle
- Enquiries: name, company when supplied, contact details, enquiry type and message.
- Bookings: contact details, service and property type, home size where relevant, affected scope, date and time, Google Maps shared pin and optional directions, house number or floor.
- Accounts: sign-in identifiers and account profile. Google or phone sign-in processes authentication information through Google/Firebase when you choose that method. Never share a password or verification code with our team.
- Service relationships: client and site contacts, assigned staff, visits, pest findings, work performed, follow-ups, charges where entered and revision history. Private CRM information is available only to authorized administrators.
- Technical operation: hosting, security and error information needed to operate the site. Optional public-page analytics is separate and requires your choice.
Why we use it
We use information to respond to requests, arrange and deliver agreed services, manage accounts and appointments, maintain service and financial records, protect the system and meet applicable obligations. Information supplied for a service enquiry is not permission for unrelated marketing. A separate choice is required for optional analytics.
Service providers and sharing
The site uses Google Firebase for hosting, authentication and database services. Google Analytics is used on public information pages only if you accept optional analytics. Opening a shared Maps pin, WhatsApp, email or an external calendar takes you to that provider; its own privacy terms apply. We do not sell enquiry or booking information. Access is limited according to staff roles and client assignments.
Technology providers may process information outside Kenya. Applicable data-protection requirements and safeguards remain relevant to that processing. Ask us for information about a particular processing or transfer concern.
Analytics and browser storage
Necessary storage supports sign-in, application updates, security and your chosen display/privacy preferences. Optional analytics helps us understand public pages and contact-button use. We do not send form contents, names, email addresses, phone numbers, shared pin links, booking references or private app/admin routes as analytics events. Analytics is off until accepted and remains off when a supported browser privacy signal requests it. See Cookies & privacy choices.
Retention and protection
We retain information for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, service administration, security and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Access controls and revision history protect operational records; no internet service can promise absolute security. Contact us about information no longer needed or inaccurate records.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you can ask about information held about you, request access or correction, object to processing and request deletion where appropriate. You can withdraw optional analytics permission using Privacy choices in the footer. Withdrawing analytics permission does not cancel a booking or delete a service record. We may need proportionate information to verify a request and protect another person’s data.
